PET core material for ship, yacht
Introduction:
Mainly using polyester raw materials for high-temperature extrusion through an extruder, different thicknesses of plates are obtained by extrusion through different diameter grinding tool ports. The main ingredients include polyethylene terephthalate PET and polybutylene terephthalate PBT resin. Polyethylene terephthalate, also known as polyester resin, is commonly referred to as polyester resin. It is a condensed polymer of terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol, collectively referred to as thermoplastic polyester or saturated polyester along with PBT. PET and PBT, together as thermoplastic polyesters, have become one of the five major engineering plastics.
Features:
Good gas temperature resistance, chemical stability, low water absorption, resistance to weak acids and organic solvents, but not resistant to hot water immersion and alkali.
High mechanical strength, stiffness, and hardness. Good sliding performance and wear resistance, good electrical insulation, excellent creep resistance, low and stable friction coefficient, excellent wear resistance (better than nylon), excellent dimensional stability (better than POM), and physiological inertness (suitable for contact with food). Good weather resistance and chemical stability, low water absorption, resistant to weak acids and organic solvents, but not resistant to hot water immersion and alkali.
