Portable Oil / Water Interface Detector

Product Description

The portable oil / water interface detector JOWA BLMD is provided for rapid and accurate determination of the oil / water interface in slop tanks as well as in other tanks where the separation of oil and water is effected and from which the discharge direct overboard is forseen.

Approved according to MARPOL 73/78 regulation 15(3)(b) and meets the IMO MEPC. 5 (XIII) specification in Annex 4.
Meets the requirements of Atex II 1 GG Eex ia IIB T4 for use in inflamable areas.
Gas tight version.
Adaptable for tank valves of 1" and above.
JOWA BLMD serves for following applications:

Ullage measurement of oil and water in slop tanks and other tanks
Interface detection between air oil and oil water
Temperature measurement
The detection of ullage and interface will be carried out visible on tape and audible with different sound signals:

The portable sampling device is an important tool for cargo inspection and used to pick close sample of liquids.

Several kinds of samples can be realised by only one integrated sample bottle:

Zone
Spot
Running
Bottom
Designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheric areas. A reading window allows to monitor the bottle location inside the cargo tank by a graduated tape.

The reel has a lock mechanism to stop the rotation at desired level and to avoid the drop of the sampling bottle. The "close sampling" of cargo liquid avoids releasing of dangerous vapor of cargo tank.

Made of stainless steel to avoid corrosion.
Easily disassembled and cleaned.
Easy to connect on top of existing deck valves by a quick coupling system.
